4.1 Construct Queries

The Create tab on the Microsoft Access 2010 ribbon includes two commands in its Queries group: Query Wizard and Query Design. The Query Wizard command leads you to a choice of wizards. You’ll learn about the Simple Query Wizard and the Crosstab Query Wizard in this section. The Query Design command opens the Query Designer.

In the Query Designer, you specify the fields to include in the query, define criteria you want Access to apply when it runs the query, and work with commands on the Query Tools Design tab to create a specific type of query.
